This story takes place in the present day, in a beat up old town called the FAYZ. There is also a different side of town for other people who are non-mutants. There is a very small population here though and food source is running low. The Author uses lots of decriptive words to describe the location of the location or character.

When the world turned upside down and into fallout Sam had to take the leadership role and stand up above the rest. He needed to help everyone through hard times even though he wasn't too comfortable with the idea at start. His girlfriend Astrid is trying to bring in rules and laws to society. She is grealty affected from Sam's position and is now trying to get him to step down. She wants to create a council so the community can be run smoothly. Things are harder than they appear though as new threat emerges from the ground.

Take out the scene where a boy called Jack gets sick. He is super strong but also a computer geek. He does not impact the storyline very much and only adds in another chapter to the book.

The Author goes into great deatil about every part of the book. He describes each section with a lot of descriptive words and doesn't skip details. This lets you get a great picture of the book in your head and really get invovled with the novel. It makes you want to keep reading as I have wanted to at night. Also the story line is Thriller/ Action which is what I love.
