Hey whoever is reading this,
as you know, I'm heading to Wambana for the extended stay experience. I am both nervous and excited about going to Wambana. I don't want to go because it seems like a lot of hard work but I know it will be great fun staying with all my mates and a good experience. It will be a big change when I'm cut off from technology and I will miss it but it is good to have a break from PS3's and iPhones.
The riding and camping for the first week of Wambana sounds long and hard but it should be fun with everyone. Running in the mornings is probably the least the thing I'm looking forward too because it sounds like a lot of hard work for not much in return except self-satisfaction. It will get me fitter though which is good.
The boys who returned from the previous trip said that it was pretty good. They said cycle expedition was the worst bit of the trip but I ride a fair bit so I'm not too worried about it. It is more the cooking and camping side of the trip I'm worried about. I'd prefer to sleep in a lovely comfortable bed but it's not going to happen.
When I come back I believe I will be more independent and appreciative for all the things my parents do for me without complaining. Like cooking, washing and cleaning. I also believe I'll be fitter which will be good for my sporting.
I hope to gain more maturity and independence from this trip, along with the self-satisfaction of knowing I can cook, clean, wash and look after myself without needing Mum or Dad to do it for me.
This trip will be both good for my physical fitness and mental attitude and I hope it is good and memorable.
Edward Worrell signing out and see you on the other side.
